Jane Chin, Ph.D. posted an update in the group General Business Mastermind (Public): How do you prioritize? Here are my basic steps:

1. I define 3 core areas to focus on for the year.

2. I identify key goals for each core area.

3. I create action plans for each goal.

4. I look at what individual actions and tasks comprise each action plan.

5. I track metrics for everything in #4, which if met would roll up to items 3, 2, and 1 targets.

Now, the above is my ideal scenario.

What ACTUALLY happens is that I do items 1-3. Then depending on life, my time-lines had to adjust for actions in item 4.

I also look at interim metrics and surrogate markers for item 5, and occasionally realize that I needed to scrap a goal based on this info or revise the goal or maybe make a new goal.

and you can get a similar effect as
