I loved the employment life. You get paid vacation days, a steady paycheck, benefits (especially company-matched retirement benefits), bonuses… YOU CAN GET SICK BECAUSE YOU HAVE SICK DAYS.
I am celebrating 9 years as a microbusiness entrepreneur in 2013. I’m a 1-person business where I’m both CEO and janitor. I love my life as a microbusiness entrepreneur. Yes it is hard when times are hard and business becomes even more predictable than it already is. But I love what the microbusiness entrepreneurship journey has afforded me: flexibility and the precious gift of being present for my child’s early years of life (almost every step of the way), and tremendous growth as a person.
